What You Need to Know

The Assembly Technician II is responsible for the assembly, disassembly, refurbishment, testing and packaging of topside controls & subsea equipment.

What We Are Looking For

• Review, interpret, and apply engineering testing procedures.

• Use schematics and drawings to support production setup and execution.

• Assemble, disassemble, refurbish, and test subsea control modules, wellhead control panels, hydraulic power units, valves, and related equipment.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of hydraulic systems and the operation of hydraulic power units.

• Complete and maintain documentation as required.

• Notify the supervisor or QHSE Manager of quality or safety concerns.

• Maintain the cleanliness of assembly, disassembly, and test areas.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Essential

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in the use of hydraulic power units (HPUs); knowledge of selecting and applying appropriate hoses, fittings, and hydraulic components for pressure testing and hydraulic applications.

• Experience assembling, flushing, and pressure testing hydraulic systems and piping, often up to 25,000 psi.

• Experience using basic hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).

• Sound mechanical knowledge, including units of measurement and conversions, basic mathematics, and mechanics.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to set job priorities, exercise self-discipline, and remain motivated to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, and kneel regularly.

• Able to work in elevated work areas with proper PPE.

Preferred

• One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with tube bending, routing, and installation, including the proper tightening and assembly of tubing and fittings.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
