What You Need to Know
The FPSO Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth and expanding Proserv’s market presence within the global Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) sector. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities across greenfield, brownfield, life extension, and services while strengthening strategic relationships with FPSO operators, EPC contractors, shipyards, and key industry stakeholders.
The successful candidate will maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive dynamics, customer investment plans, and emerging market opportunities. The position requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop long-term customer relationships that translate into profitable growth and increased market share.
A key element of the role will be steering the internal teams to deliver high quality and competitive solutions to the key client base. Experience and knowledge in this area is critical for the success of the role and Proserv’s continued growth into this market segment.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
Deliver annual bookings and revenue growth targets within the FPSO market.
Develop and execute a global FPSO growth strategy aligned with Proserv's strategic objectives.
Build relationships with FPSO operators, EPC contractors, shipyards, and industry partners.
Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities across all project phases.
Identify opportunities to leverage Proserv’s technology and service capabilities to solve customer challenges.
Provide market intelligence and strategic insight to support business planning and investment decisions.
Collaborate across regions and business units to maximise customer value and win rates.
Develop and grow market share by targeting key projects or clients. Defining the project decision makers, influencer and detractors, thus converting opportunities into Orders.
Contribute to the preparation and compilation of the technical and commercial content of documents relating to pre-qualifications, quotation and tenders in readiness for timely submission in an accurate and professional manner.
Maintain CRM system in line with Proserv requirements, providing a true reflection of the business acquisition status and opportunity horizon.
Assist in preparing activity and performance reports against approved plans.
Represent the business as necessary at client meetings, technical seminars, etc., and contribute to various sales events, exhibitions, proportions and literature as required.
Participate in client meetings to support tender, contract and controls opportunities.
Flexible with working hours as working outside normal hours of work will be required and is part of the role.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
Technical or Business Degree or previous experience in a similar technical, operations or sales role.
Experience
Essential
The ability to build relations and challenge convention through imaginative thinking and ambition are paramount to the success of this role. The post holder will challenge the market and the business by demonstrating a competitive mind set and energy to drive the control sales agenda.
Minimums of 5 years within FPSO procurement management or Business Development roles
Ability to develop, maintain and communicate strategic sales growth plans.
Extensive experience in FPSO proposals / sales with a focus on:
Topside Control Systems: TUTU’s and WHCP
Subsea Control and distribution systems
Hydraulic Power units (Topside and subsea)
Customer Relationship Management software experience.
Ability to travel when required to meet clients and partners in order to convert opportunities to orders.
Preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the conventional energy sector
Excellent connections with local existing and potential clients.
Demonstrable track record of achievement in the O&G sector.
A global track record in winning and influencing work across the FPSO market.
Located in the APAC region.
