What You Need to Know
The Operations Director has overall responsibility for all aspects of the assigned Business Unit (BU), i.e. Control system manufacturing, subsea & topsides aftermarket services, including Profit and Loss (P&L), safety, personnel, quality, and operational performance. Accountable for the development and implementation of strategic plans to advance company objectives, as well as promoting revenue, profitability and continuous growth.
What We Are Looking For
Develop process strategies that support product development & customer satisfaction. Develop and direct strategic plan(s) to advance the company's goals/objectives and promote revenue, profitability, and growth.
Manage assigned Business Unit for maximum customer, employee, and shareholder value.
Oversee business unit operations to ensure production efficiency, safety, optimum quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Develop and manage budgeting and program execution.
Monitor and regularly review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives; revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
Sets organizational direction for key deliverables.
Provide leadership for maximum employee commitment, satisfaction, retention, & development.
Drive profitable growth and ensure implementation of world-class manufacturing technologies, creating value-added product offerings for the customers, and flawless execution of production standards, organization process and program delivery to customers.
Create a framework for success; lead efforts to communicate, collaborate, and share best practices across the Proserv organization.
Drive a culture of high-quality standards through implementation of quality systems, training, audit, and continual improvement initiatives.
Manage change and provide leadership/direction to staff. Communicate with staff, conduct staff meetings, advocate promotions where appropriate, and encourage a team philosophy that invites active participation.
Evaluate performance of management for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives.
Uphold Proserv’s high safety & environmental standards, regularly communicate, understand and respect the Safety procedures, goals and initiatives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or similar from an accredited college/university required.
Equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree acceptable.
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited college/university preferred
Essential
Eight (8) to ten (10) years of experience in an Oil and Gas Services and Manufacturing environment, with at least four (4) years in a senior management capacity.
Strong manufacturing, engineering, and customer relations background with proven track record in developing product and manufacturing strategies. Ability to effectively measure and deliver successful projects.
Exceptional communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead teams and effectively communicate with all levels.
Experience in a matrix organization, with proven ability to work collaboratively and achieve results.
Able to identify and solve problems, manage multiple priorities and multi-task. Must exhibit good judgment and have proven good decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to create and manage client relationship and establish/negotiate terms with customers.
Substantial experience creating and implementing strategic plans for company growth and stability.
Established Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility experience.
Experience with total quality manufacturing management and continual improvement.
Strong analytical skills and computer skills (MS Office Suite) with strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Microsoft D365.
Preferred
Significant understanding and experience within a lean manufacturing environment utilizing Kaizen and Six Sigma practices.
