What You Need to Know
Role Synopsis To lead technical and commercial sub-function ensuring the compliant end-to-end bidding process. This senior role involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, procurement, and legal teams to ensure proposals are competitive, compliant, and aligned with client requirements This position requires expertise in a specific area of engineering, commercial strategy, and client engagement. This senior role plays a pivotal part in securing new business and supporting strategic growth initiatives across Proserv.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
• Lead the end-to-end proposal process for technical scopes and commercial proposals in accordance with Proserv’s policies and procedures.
• Define bid strategy, execution plans, and win themes in collaboration with Business Development and Senior Management.
• Manage proposals’ sub-team and coordinate cross-functional inputs from Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Legal, and Finance.
• Develop detailed proposal schedules, timelines, milestones, and submission plans. Ensure documentation accuracy and completeness prior to submittal.
• Oversee cost estimation, pricing strategy, and risk analysis to ensure proposals are competitive and profitable. Identify, manage and mitigate commercial, technical and contractual risks.
• Accountable for the commercial integrity and margin performance of proposals.
• Act as the overall proposals’ authority, ensuring engineering solutions are innovative, compliant, and aligned with client requirements.
• Allocate resources and ensure team capability meets business and bid complexity requirements.
• Identify differentiators and value propositions to strengthen bid positioning.
• Drive alignment with global processes, standards, and documentation to ensure consistency.
• Ensure proposals comply with internal governance, client specifications, and industry standards.
• Represent Proserv in client meetings, bid presentations, and clarification sessions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with and advise Proserv Leadership and Sales teams throughout proposal duration, from opportunity identification and development of proposal strategy to proposal debriefs.
• Provide input for the presentation and participate in presenting at the Risk Review Board meeting alongside the Business Development representative.
• Provide the required reports for management with status details.
• Maintain proposal records, lessons learned and drive continuous improvements in proposal tools, processes, and team capability.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Proposal Engineers. Conduct performance evaluations, training, and succession planning in line with Proserv policies.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by line management.
