What We Are Looking For
The Inside Sales Engineer is primarily responsible for preparing bids for the mechanical product portfolio within the distribution business unit, including Tescom pressure regulators, Haskel pumps, and air-operated diaphragm pumps and high-pressure fittings.
This role centers on creating and managing quotation processes, coordinating technical and commercial activities, and supporting external sales initiatives to foster business growth across the Middle East. In addition, the Inside Sales Engineer collaborates with other sales team members, ensuring that customer inquiries, quotations, and orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
· The Internal Sales Engineer provides technical consultation, product selection support, prepares techno-commercial offers, negotiates pricing and contract terms.
· Active participation in reviewing the technical details of vendor items, preparation of technical clarifications and technical bid evaluations.
· Prepare the techno commercial bid based on vendor quotes and evaluate vendor technical proposals to ensure full compliance with the RFQ requirements.
· Provide technical consultation and product selection support for pressure regulation and pressure pumping applications.
· Prepare accurate techno-commercial offers in coordination with internal sales teams and principals.
· Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contracts within approved authority levels.
· Assist middle east team with product group prequalification with national oil companies and end clients.
· Identifying new vendors who fit our product offering and have the potential to boost revenue for the business unit.
· Responding to & offering bespoke mechanical and instrumentation solutions to our EPC customers based on specified / unique challenges they are facing.
· Formulate strategies based on customer requirements and analyzing competitors’ market share & identifying competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
· Close collaboration with operations, customer service, and internal stakeholders ensures smooth order execution, reliable delivery, and sustained long-term customer satisfaction.
· Resolve customer issues promptly and provide technical assistance and support in liaison with other teams.
· Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of customer orders.
· Promotion of Proserv products to new and existing clients through pro-active approach.
· Comply with all applicable company directives, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical engineering or a related discipline.
· Candidates with a relevant Business degree and strong technical sales experience may also be considered.
Essential
Minimum (3-5) years of proven inside sales experience with a demonstrated history of working with a mechanical OEM/wholesale distributor or with prior experience in handling Mechanical products/services to the oil and gas industry.
Proven experience in preparation, and compilation of complete techno commercial bids for mechanical products.
Experience in preparation / review of engineering datasheets of pumps / Instrumentation / Hydraulic / Pneumatic / for procurement / approval to client,
Proficiency in interpretation of P&ID drawings of semi-complex pneumatic / hydraulic control systems / Mechanical packaging units.
Prior experience in technical consultation and product selection support for pressure regulation and pressure-pumping system applications, ensuring solutions meet performance requirements and customer needs.
Basic awareness of fluid Mechanics / Fluid Engineering
Customer-focused mindset with solution-selling approach.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred
· Prior experience handling RFQ’s related to Tescom regulators, Haskel pumps, or similar high-pressure / instrumentation products.
· Technical Experience with AODD (Air-Operated Double Diaphragm) pumps is advantageous.
