What You Need to Know
We are looking for a hands-on HSE Advisor to support the effective management of health, safety and environmental performance at our Manufacturing and Engineering facility on Beacon Park, Great Yarmouth.
This is a highly visible, operational role where you will work closely with site leadership and frontline teams to ensure legal compliance, uphold Proserv standards, and actively promote a proactive and engaging safety culture. You will play a key part in embedding safe behaviours, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring everyone goes home safe, every day.

What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
Work with local supervisory teams to develop and periodically review standard risk assessments, using Proserv’s TRIC (Toolbox Talk Risk Identification Card) to identify task-specific hazards and implement effective control measures
Ensure site operations comply with UK HSE legislation, Proserv standards, and industry best practice
Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and site safety inductions to employees and contractors
Lead or support investigations into accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective actions
Educate teams on safety interactions using Proactive Site Visit and Safety Touch guidance, ensuring high-quality engagement and accurate reporting
Oversee contractor management, ensuring inductions, RAMS, permits to work, and approvals are completed correctly
Implement and maintain a cross-functional site inspection regime to drive compliance and proactive safety discussions
Maintain accurate HSE records, including inspections, audits, incidents, and compliance documentation
Collect, monitor, and report environmental data and objectives
Support site-based HSE budgeting and forecasting, monitoring spend against targets
Report performance against BU and functional HSE targets, supporting interpretation and improvement actions
Provide data input for management system reviews
Review new supplier requests to ensure HSE requirements are met
Produce monthly and annual HSE reports, including trend analysis and improvement plans
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
Level 4 qualification (Higher National Certificate, Certificate of Higher Education) or equivalent in an applicable discipline or equivalent industry experience
NEBOSH Diploma, OSHA-500 or equivalent
Experience
Extensive experience managing HSE management systems, processes, and audits
Strong familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
Hands-on experience conducting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and internal audits
In-depth understanding of production or service environments with significant health and safety hazards, ideally within Oil & Gas, Renewables, or related industries
Proven experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and promoting a culture of accountability
Experience monitoring leading and lagging safety performance metrics and using data to drive improvement
Experience supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements

Regulatory & Industry Awareness: Solid understanding of legislation, industry standards, and customer expectations
Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated ability to drive corrective actions and enhance site-wide safety performance
Process Development: Strong capability to develop, implement, and maintain HSE processes and procedures
Risk Management: Skilled in risk assessment and hazard identification (e.g. TRIC, HAZOP, JSA) and implementing effective controls
