Senior Sales Engineer
What You Need to Know
We are seeking for an experience Senior Sales Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the internal sales operations for the mechanical product portfolio within the distribution business unit, including Tescom pressure regulators, high-pressure pumps, and air-operated diaphragm pumps.
This role centers on managing quotation processes, coordinating technical and commercial activities, handling order execution, leading the internal sales team, and supporting external sales initiatives to foster business growth across the Middle East. In addition, the Senior Sales Engineer provides leadership and coaching to the internal sales team, ensuring that customer inquiries, quotations, and orders are processed efficiently and accurately.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
The Senior Sales Engineer provides technical consultation, product selection support, prepares techno-commercial offers, negotiates pricing and contract terms, and supports product prequalification with national oil companies and key clients.
In addition, the role requires strong market and competitive analysis to formulate sales strategies aligned with customer needs and market dynamics. The Senior Sales Engineer conducts site and field visits to deliver tailored solutions, responds to complex engineering challenges with bespoke mechanical and instrumentation solutions, and identifies new vendors to strengthen the product portfolio. Close collaboration with operations, customer service, and internal stakeholders ensures smooth order execution, reliable delivery, and sustained long-term customer.
This position plays a critical role in developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, particularly within oil & gas, petrochemical markets. Responsibilities include expanding the customer base, managing key accounts, maintaining relationships with end users, EPC contractors, and channel partners, and identifying new business opportunities.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical engineering or a related discipline
Candidates with a relevant Business degree and strong technical sales experience may also be considered
Essential
Minimum (5-8) years of proven sales and business development experience in the Middle East Oil & Gas sector, with demonstrated involvement in EPCs, end users, or oilf field service providers.
Demonstrated history of working with a mechanical wholesale distributor or with prior experience in handling Mechanical services to the oil and gas industry
Previous experience working with clients like ADNOC, Dubai Petroleum, Qatar Energy, Qatar Gas LNG, Aramco, and supplying to the Oil & Gas industry.
Valid UAE driving license
(4-7) years of experience in sales of pumps, fluid handling equipment or fittings
Ability to work independently and manage key accounts strategically
Customer-focused mindset with solution-selling approach
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Preferred
Proven experience selling Tescom regulators, pumps, or similar high-pressure / instrumentation products.
Ability to accurately read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and other technical drawings, and to prepare bids for detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Provide expert technical consultation and product selection support for pressure regulation and pressure-pumping system applications, ensuring solutions meet performance requirements and customer needs.
Sales Experience with AODD (Air-Operated Double Diaphragm) pumps is advantageous.
Strong understanding of project sales cycles and EPC procurement processes.
