What You Need to Know
We are recruiting a Technical Account Manager to join our customer-facing team, supporting and driving growth in the UK North Sea. The role focuses on developing new and building and maintaining existing relationships with key clients, ensuring successful delivery of Proserv products and services, and acting as the primary technical contact for account-specific matters.
The successful candidate will actively look for opportunities for growth as well as researching and developing new business opportunities. You will be the main focal point for all subsea project and services related enquiries in the UK and will be required to attend regular client meetings.
This role is critical in generating, maintaining and delivering against the growth ambitions for the business while upholding Proserv’s HSE and FRESH values.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
Drive growth in revenue, profit, and market share by promoting Proserv’s controls business, particularly its Subsea products and services, while supporting all other business unit offerings.
Manage and develop a wide range of UK accounts, including key strategic clients, and maintain strong relationships across engineering, operations, procurement, and consultancy stakeholders.
Identify market potential, generate and qualify leads, and convert them into firm enquiries and orders, ensuring a healthy opportunity pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
Develop tactical technical and commercial strategies in partnership with the Director of Sales and define niche market opportunities beyond standard controls business.
Target and secure key projects by mapping decision makers and influencers to successfully convert opportunities into orders.
Contribute to the preparation of pre-qualifications, quotations, and tender submissions with accurate technical and commercial content.
Maintain the CRM system to reflect accurate business acquisition status and opportunity forecasts.
Support the VP of Sales with activity and performance reporting, and monitor and report on competitor and operator activity.
Represent Proserv at client meetings, technical seminars, sales events, exhibitions, and other industry engagements, and act as a key contact for relevant industry bodies and committees.
Participate in tender, contract, and controls-related client discussions, offering support as needed.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Works independently, showing initiative and sound problem‑solving.
Strong negotiation skills and full proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Clear, confident communicator—written, verbal, and in presentations to clients and internal teams.
Handles high workloads and shifting priorities with flexibility and resilience.
Effective at collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential
Builds strong relationships and challenges convention with imagination, ambition, and a competitive mindset to drive the controls sales agenda.
Minimum 5 years’ Production Control Systems experience.
Ability to develop, maintain and communicate strategic sales growth plans.
Experience using CRM systems.
Preferred
Experience in the energy services industry.
10+ years’ Subsea control systems experience.
Strong local network with existing and potential clients.
Proven track record of success in the oil and gas sector.
