What You Need to Know
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team in Doha. This role is essential in ensuring that all project quality requirements are met throughout the manufacturing phase, with a strong focus on compliance, documentation, and inspection.
What We Are Looking For
Some of the Key Accountabilities:
- Review and approve ITPs, QPs, and technical documentation
- Conduct inspections (dimensional, welding, paint, PMI, etc.) and verify systems against approved drawings
- Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients to ensure timely delivery and compliance
- Manage non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare MRBs, generate reports and Quality Alerts, and support internal/customer audits
- Ensure compliance with Global Business Management (GBMS) and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in quality assurance within manufacturing or oil & gas sector
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques and documentation standards
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Education
Essential
- Candidates should hold Engineering and/or Quality related certificate/Diploma/Degree
- Demonstrated competency through experience gained while working within a similar field
Preferred
- Internal or lead auditor qualification ISO 9001
- CSWIP 3.1 – Welding Inspector
- NDT Level II (RT, PT, UT, MT, VT) – ASNT TC 1A or ANSI/ASNT CP-106:2008 (ISO 9712:2005, Modified)
- BGAS or NACE Qualified Coating Inspector
Experience
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inspection and Quality Control in Oil and Gas Field.
Preferred
- Contracts/tendering experience
- Experience in document and data management through software, D365, MS Office etc.
Core Competencies
- Inspection Skills: Dimensional, visual, welding, paint, surface finish, PMI, and final product release.
- Documentation & Review: ITPs, QPs, calibration/test certificates, material certifications, Engineering drawings, Manufacturing Record Book, and quality packs.
- Quality Assurance: Root Cause Analysis, non-conformance management, internal/external audits, ISO 9001 and Management System compliance.
- Risk & Standards: Risk identification and mitigation; knowledge of industry standards and certifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Process improvement, cost of poor quality awareness, production readiness.
- Communication & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to engage with internal teams, clients, and third-party inspectors.
