Engineer – E&I
Role Synopsis
Responsible and dedicated to serve E& I scope of Control business of Proserv.
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
- Review the contract document and scope of work for Electrical engineering deliverables.
- Follow the engineering centre process, procedures while engineering all products or projects.
- Detailed engineering support and Overall understating of the Project technical & commercial scope and key electrical technical focal point for the project.
- Follow & prepare Electrical and Instrumentation related QMS processes. & procedure.
- Authorized to prepare engineering outputs for particular project, to act as support to Engineering Project Lead for in house Engineering Activities.
- Responsible for reviewing of sub vendor E&I drawings and subsequent release for manufacturing.
- Responsible for getting reviewed all documents prior to submitting client’s approval.
- Detailed Engineering activities related to electrical discipline such as starter control panel drawings, contactor control circuits design, preparation of electrical components datasheets, preparation of control philosophy etc.
- Engineering Project Management of electrical items within agreed schedule.
- Manage the electrical Engineering budgets for hours for the detailed engineering and highlight any variations if anticipated in advance.
- Prepare and develop the electrical BOM as per Contract specifications responsible for uploading & releasing BOM in tool D365.
- Highlight any E&I Engineering deliverable or items not within the scope and prepare for the technical details for variation order or technical deviations through change management procedure.
- Responsible for getting reviewed all documents prior to issuing for clients approval.
- Prepare the Engineering Change request (ECR) and Co-ordinate with Engineering team lead for Engineering Change Order Approval (ECO).
- Active participation in HAZOP/HAZID studies associated with live projects where ever applicable.
- Provide support to Production, Quality & Stores in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with Client, technical scope verification and preparation of punch list etc.,
- Team leadership in terms of workload delegation and balancing, constructive feedback, training, coaching, mentoring, goals setting and time management.
- Full alignment to global engineering process / procedures and ensure the correct and standardized usage of the global systems (PDM and D365 system) for all aspect of engineering as applicable.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management.
- Always lead and be seen to lead in all matters related to the HSE.
Secondary responsibilities
- Basic applications engineering on ESD systems, test bays and portable control systems (standard to semi complex systems).
- Detailed engineering activities of standard control systems.
Key Performance Indicators
- Submission of critical electrical engineering drawings & documents On time as per SDRL.
- Complete the electrical deliverables within budgeted hours.
- Always execute the project (electrical scope) within budgeted material cost.
- Standardisation on electrical items to bring value to business & reduce inventory cost.

Skills & Experience
Education
B.E./M.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering within the Engineering/Manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience on E&I systems and equipment.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, transmitters.
- Good communication skills with experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams and clients.
