What You Need to Know
Proserv are looking for and experienced professional to join our team as a Product Delivery Director. You will be based in our purpose built facility, our Subsea Centre of Excellence in Great Yarmouth. This is an office based role with some international travel to Houston (US) and Trondheim (Norway).
You will be accountable for the efficient, standardized, and high-performance delivery of subsea products across multiple global locations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence in manufacturing and delivery, aligning execution processes with strategic business objectives, and ensuring consistency across all facilities. As the senior leader of product delivery operations, you will oversee on-site delivery performance at their home facility while also managing and supporting operations leaders at other locations. The role emphasizes technician competency development, cross-site collaboration, and continuous improvement to meet delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
What We Are Looking For
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Develop and execute a global product delivery strategy aligned with business goals and operational capabilities.
- Lead manufacturing execution across sites, driving consistency and alignment with standardized processes and best practices.
- Consolidate and challenge operational budgets and capital expenditure (CAPEX) related to delivery and manufacturing infrastructure.
- Oversee global delivery backlogs and capacity planning processes to ensure accurate forecasting and resource utilization.
- Represent the delivery function in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), ensuring supply-demand balance.
Delivery Performance Management
- Monitor and drive performance against key delivery metrics, including safety engagement, cost of poor quality, on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Implement and champion LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery capability and eliminate waste.
- Optimize site and global workshop utilization, ensuring high productivity and efficient resource allocation.
- Approve and manage manufacturing and facility-related CAPEX in alignment with long-term operational needs.
Technician Competency & Talent Development
- Develop and maintain global role-specific competency frameworks for technicians and delivery staff.
- Drive technician capability and skills development to support consistent, high-quality execution across all locations.
- Oversee global talent management for delivery functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, training, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of safety engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
Governance & Cross-Site Alignment
- Own and govern global product delivery processes to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Operations Managers at other global facilities, ensuring consistent execution and support.
- Promote effective cross-functional and cross-location collaboration to align on priorities, best practices, and problem-solving.
- Serve as the local and global ambassador for the product delivery function, actively promoting company culture, FRESH values, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong internal and external relationships to support seamless collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and optimize indirect operational spending while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Other Accountabilities
- Ownership and governance of standardized product delivery processes across global sites.
- On-time and high-quality delivery of subsea products in line with customer and business expectations.
- Development and execution of technician competency programs and global talent development strategies.
- Oversight and optimization of manufacturing execution systems, tools, and reporting (e.g., capacity planning, utilization tracking).
- Accountability for performance metrics: safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
- Effective alignment and execution of manufacturing CAPEX projects.
- Leadership of global LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Driving alignment and teamwork across facilities, functions, and business units.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering delivery, ideally within automotive, aerospace, oil & gas, or other advanced engineering industries.
- Proven track record of driving improvement in complex, multi-site manufacturing or product delivery operations, preferably in high-mix, low-volume environments.
- Strong experience in process standardization, and continuous improvement programs across global or regional facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deploy technician training and competency frameworks, supporting frontline execution excellence.
- Familiarity with regulated, safety-critical industries and experience working under stringent quality, traceability, and compliance systems (e.g., AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Experience working with or leading cross-functional S&OP processes, demand planning, and capacity optimization.
- Background in managing capital investment projects (CAPEX), including new manufacturing technologies or facility upgrades.
- Proven success in driving LEAN, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence initiatives, with measurable impact on cost, quality, and cycle time.
- Experience with digital manufacturing tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, D365), MES, and data analytics platforms for performance management.
