What You Need to Know
The Service Controls Technician II is responsible entails installing, commissioning, and testing of electrical and software portions of subsea systems to include but not limited to, subsea master control stations, subsea control modules, hydraulic power units, and subsea data acquisitions systems. Assemble, test, install, and commission wellhead control panels and subsea equipment in accordance with engineering, quality, and safety specifications.
What We Are Looking For
- Interpret and apply Engineering Assembly and Test Procedures
- Verify electrical/hydraulic schematics and general arrangement drawings
- Assemble and dissemble subsea equipment
- Utilize schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot operational problems
- Assist and compile installation/operation manuals and system training manuals
- Assist in writing test procedures
- Perform general maintenance duties
- Assist in installation and commissioning of subsea systems offshore
- Assist Project Engineers as needed
- Responsible for the safe assembly, testing, and repair of assigned equipment
- Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
Essential
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred
- Technical associate degree or bachelor’s degree
Experience
Essential
- 3-5 years of assembling and dissembling experience with subsea equipment
- Ability to communicate with clients and work well with a variety of personnel
- Must be able to coordinate several tasks at one time
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for Windows software program
- Willingness to travel and/or assist offshore for up to 3 weeks at a given time
- Ability to work in elevated work areas with proper PPE
- Basic aptitude for mechanical/hydraulic equipment
Preferred
- Hands-on experience working offshore domestically and internationally
- Upstream oil and gas experience
