What You Need to Know
The SCM Assembly Technician II is responsible for the assembly, disassembly, refurbishment, testing and packaging of Subsea Control Modules.
What We Are Looking For
- Review, interpret and apply engineering testing procedures.
- Utilize schematics, drawings and blueprints to aid in production set-up and execution of subsea control modules.
- Assemble, disassemble and refurbish subsea control modules.
- Test and package subsea control systems modules.
- Complete and maintain documentation, as required.
- Notify Production Supervisor or Manager of quality or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of assembly, disassembly and test areas
- Perform general shop maintenance duties
- Train less experienced assembly technicians, as required
- Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
Education
Essential
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- Associate’s Degree (technical)
Experience
Essential
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in use of hydraulic power units, assembly of hydraulic systems, and selecting appropriate fittings and hoses related to testing with pressure.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Able to work in elevated work areas with proper PPE
Preferred
- Two (2) or more years of experience working with subsea control modules
- One (1) or more years of experience with electrical testing systems and wiring/soldering
- Experience with MCS Simulators/Portable Electrical Test Units
- Experience or knowledge and Canbus/Modbus systems
- Forklift certification
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Familiar with the oil/gas industry, particularly manufacturing
